Luck Companies 100th Anniversary: Executive Report Design

executive report / information design / data storytelling

Client

Luck Companies

Document a full year of Luck Companies' 100th anniversary events in an executive-ready report that captures impact, engages visually, and provides actionable insights for the marketing team.

Objective

The Challenge

Luck Companies needed to document two distinct types of events with different strategic purposes. Customer Events were unique to the centennial celebration and required ROI analysis. Associate Lunches were ongoing programs that needed actionable insights for future execution.

The report needed to:

  • Organize diverse event data without overwhelming readers

  • Support two different analytical frameworks within one cohesive document

  • Make insights immediately accessible for executive and marketing audiences

  • Maintain visual consistency while accommodating different content types

The Approach

I collaborated with the event director to build a report structure that treated each event type according to its strategic purpose, with tailored data displays and insights.

Report Structure and Content Model
We divided the report into two sections based on how the events were meant to be evaluated:

  • Customer Events (unique to the 100th year celebration): focused on ROI and high-level performance

  • Associate Lunches (continuing program): focused on practical learning to improve future events

Deliverables

  • Report structure with two distinct analytical frameworks

  • Template system balancing standardization with content flexibility

  • Visual information design for stats, insights, and data presentation

  • Edited and retouched photography

  • Polished copy and final executive report

For Customer Events, the reporting emphasized outcomes and investment:

  • Attendance rate

  • Budget vs. actuals

  • ROI and cost per attendee

  • Photos, overview, and general insights

One-page overview summarizing the series of customer events.

Individual event pages featuring an overview, stats, and photos.

For Associate Lunches, the reporting emphasized repeatability and planning:

  • Attendance rate

  • Cost breakdown and cost per attendee

  • Overview plus location-specific insights to improve execution (venue logistics, weather considerations, music, food preferences, vendors)

  • Aerial map of the venue for context and planning

One-page overview summarizing the series of associate lunches.

Individual event pages capturing key highlights, lessons learned, and vendor information.
